A Washington cosmetologist and beauty salon owner has been convicted of injecting patients with unknown substances she claimed were the cosmetic products Botox and Restylane.
Xin He, 46, of Issaquah, Wash., was found guilty on felony and misdemeanor counts of misbranding drugs for sale and delivery of adulterated devices following a trial held in federal court in Seattle. She faces up to three years in prison and a $10,000 fine when she is sentenced December 18, federal prosecutors said.
He claimed in ads she placed in Vietnamese newspapers to be licensed to offer cosmetic surgery procedures, including injections of Botox and Restylane. Dating back as far as 2004, He injected an unknown substance she claimed was Restylane into the face of a female patient.
